Asa Duane Dunnington

Asa Dunnington, born in Logan, Iowa on June 7, 1939, has led a life as diverse as it is captivating. From writing for newspapers to serving in the Air Force and engaging in the frenzy of a Presidential campaign, he’s embraced a multitude of roles. However, it was a chance encounter with Emmett Long, his first wife’s, during a family vacation that left an indelible mark on him. Recognizing the richness of Long’s life story, Asa made it his mission to preserve it for future generations.

Now, happily married to his second wife, Cheryl, Asa finds solace and joy in his family life, surrounded by three children and nine grandchildren. Alongside his personal adventures, Asa is a storyteller at heart. His autobiography, “What a Life!”, offers readers a glimpse into the rollercoaster ride of his own experiences, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, curiosity, and the enduring importance of human connection.
